Stroganoff
Description
This is one of my husband's favorite dishes. It's pretty easy to make and you don't have to add sides for a great meal.
Ingredients
1lb ground beef
1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tsp dijon mustard
3/4 cup onion, chopped into 1/4 in thick squares
1 cup warm chicken bouillon in water
1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup water
3/4 lb thick sliced mushrooms, sauteed in oil (bacon or butter or lard)
8oz egg noodles, boil until soft and set aside
Steps
1. Cook beef, butter, salt, pepper, and mustard until meat is brown.
2. Make a hole in the beef and put onions in there to sautee until soft and stir.
3. In a bowl, mix broth and flour until no lumps exist. Pour this into meat mixture and stir. Let simmer.
4. Mix sour cream, water and Worcestershire sauce into a bowl. Pour this into the meat mixture.
5. Add cooked noodles and mushrooms and serve.
