Easy Creamy Garlic Pasta
Description
Enjoy this rich and creamy dish with very little effort. It can be served as a main dish, but would go great with Chicken Marsala.
Ingredients
8 oz uncooked linguine pasta (any long pasta will work for a lighter dish)
1 tbl salt in water (for boiling pasta)
1 tbl butter
1 tsp flour
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy/whipping cream (can substitute with whole milk)
1/3 cup grated parmesan plus extra for garnish
Salt & pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
Steps
1. Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a bowl, mix flour and broth. In a skillet, melt butter and stir garlic and chicken broth mixture. Let simmer for about a minute.
3. Whisk in the cream and let the sauce cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
4. Stir in parmesan cheese and season with salt & pepper to taste.
5. Toss pasta with sauce until coated. You can add some pasta water if it is too thick. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan if desired.
