Romantic Eggs in a Basket

Description
This buttery treat is an amazing spin on a fried egg breakfast. It is easy to make and a big tradition in our house.

Serves 2.

Ingredients
4 slices of soft, wide bread
Butter
4 eggs
Spray oil

Step 1
spread butter generously on both sides of the bread. This works best if the butter is room temperature. Then, use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut the center out of the bread slices.

Step 2
Spray oil on a nonstick pan and add bread on a medium heat. Crack an egg into the hole of the bread and cook hearts on the side.

Step 3
Once bread is toasted, turn down to a low heat until the eggs are cooked as desired. Serve.
