Grandma's Pie Crust

Description
This is the recipe my grandmother gave me when I was 26. I have had so many people rave over my pies. It wasn't until nearly 20 years later that I discovered that the crust was not her famous recipe! It doesn't matter though. The recipe is delicious and easy!

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter (softened naturally at room temp)
1/2 cup water

Makes 2 pies

Directions
Step 1: Combine flour and salt.

Step 2: Use a fork and butter knife to cut butter into the flour mixture.

Step 3: Once it is really mixed, add water.

Step 4: Use your hands to roll into 4 sections in the bowl. Put each section into a zipper bag. Flatten inside the bag. Refrigerate for 1-4 hours or freeze later. Each bag is either a top or bottom of a 9 inch pie. If frozen, dethaw in the refrigerator for 2 hours before use.

Step 5: When ready to make, sift flower on to the clean counter. Place dough on surface and roll as desired. Discard flour when done.

Baking Tip: Bake an apple pie at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove and spray with oil. Generously Sprinkle sugar over the pie. Cook for 10 more minutes or until done.
