Savory Football Meat Loaves
In general anyone born near the 80s ate meatloaf and it was pretty terrible. I've always hated it. However this recipe is so tasty that I actually went for seconds. It's more savoury than sweet and has a great texture. Plus, it's easy to make.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground pork
1 lb lean ground turkey
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tbl and 1 teaspoon oregano
2 large eggs
2/3 cup red onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tap black pepper
Sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tbl and 1 teaspoon oregano
Directions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Step 2: Combine the pork, turkey, bread crumbs, ketchup, mustard, the Worcestershire sauce, oregano, eggs, onions, salt and pepper in a small bowl until combined.
Step 3: Form the meatloaf mixture into 8 small football-shaped loaves, about 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches thick, and place on cookie sheet.
Step 4: Mix all ingredients for sauce. Brush some of the ketchup mixture on each meatloaf.
Step 5: Bake until fully cooked, about 20 minuted and serve.
